My name is Denise and I live in Southern California.
My husband told me I was shaped like a pear and the name just stuck.
I am a wife, married for fifteen years.
We're both artists.
We freelance (i.e live on bread and water).
I am a mother to six children and their ages range from 15, 13, 12, 10, 8, and 7. I made it through six pregnancies, labors, homebirths and extended breastfeeding and I'm still alive to tell the tale.
Oh, and we homeschool too [insert crazy emoji].
I love all things Mexican folk art and Frida Kahlo. Yes, I'm your typical Chicana cliché . All that's missing is my tattoo of the Virgin Mary and my serape purse.
I like to make stuff. I'm a hardcore DIY'er. So basically, I make stuff and then share all the deets with you on this here blog.
I live by the creed: being real with self, others and God. "Being real" means I may not sound very "churchified" at times and yes, I struggle with my faith on a daily basis, but every day is a new day in which I strive to walk in light.
My blog is about my life, what I love, who I love. Come and walk this path with me. I promise, you'll never be bored.
